Key Account Manager with relevant experience is required for a large company based in JHB.
Sales and Strategies
Maintain and build relationships within the channel and with customers as per the national engagement plan. Provide regular interface with customers and regional teams to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, training and opportunity assessment as per the national engagement plan.
Facilitate and equip regions with up to date sales packs comprising of cheat sheets for devices, new and existing products to grow existing product offerings within the channel to facilitate sales. Communication to be done in the form of an internal briefing document.
Achieve the forecasted sales acquisition target for the Low Cost Device channel as per the predefined targets. Ensure all Customer Relationship Consultants and/or Sales Representatives achieve all sales, new business acquisition and revenue targets set by the business. Ensure that regional sales strategies & objectives are in line with national sales strategy & objectives.
Achieve the forecasted sales acquisition target for the Container channel as per the predefined targets. Ensure that regional sales strategies & objectives are in line with national sales strategy & objectives.
Operational Efficiency – Sales Operations
Maintain a thorough knowledge of commercial terms of agreements and manage and grow commercial relationships within assigned portfolio of accounts.
Insights – Competitive Threats
Provide regular feedback on competitive threats to the business and advise on product enhancement requirements monthly as per defined monthly reporting document.
Insights – Market Trends
Seek out and communicate meaningful insights from the market and report back to the business monthly as per defined monthly reporting document. Provide direction to the marketing department on key marketing opportunities within the channel to support the sales effort.
Sales – Operational
Execute the sales and marketing plan for Low Cost Device Channel and Container Project for the informal market as per the defined tactical plan. Ensure that sales strategies & objectives are implemented nationally.
Input into the forecasting of acquisition numbers, retention numbers and stock required for the allocated portfolio of accounts.

Know our Customers
Understand customer needs and provide input into the development / fine-tuning of systems, processes and solutions accordingly. Contribute towards initiating change to continually improve all aspects of service delivery.
Sales – Reporting and Planning
Provide weekly sales activities as per tactical plan to the KAM that accurately captures all activity. Provide monthly input into operational and tactical strategies of the trade partners in order to grow revenues within the allocated portfolio of accounts.
Implement measures where necessary to improve operational efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Mediate resolution of escalated queries regarding the assigned portfolio of accounts. Ensure all customer queries are attended to and resolved within agreed SLA’s. Manage the escalation process from regional teams across various business units (Tech Ops, Customer Ops, Fin Ops). Ensure all escalated queries from regional managers are attended to and resolved.
Implement and monitor internal processes and procedures to assist in improving operational efficiency between regional managers and various business units. Ensure that internal processes and procedures are adhered to by regions.
Accurately manage expenses in accordance with budgetary requirements.
Work closely with the various internal departments and business units to ensure the accurate
execution of the sales plan.
