Marketing Officer with a minimum of 3 years experience in the marketing domain is required at a large media company based in Cape Town.

 

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification
  • Diploma/degree in Marketing and/or PR, or similar
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • At least three years’ experience in the marketing domain
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge relationships with all stakeholders
  • Excellent writing skills and a passion for writing
  • Excellent planning and organising ability and attention to detail
  • Innovate and ability to think conceptually and strategically
  • Ability to cope with pressure and setbacks, meet tight deadlines, be flexible and be able to adapt to changes
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Proactive, driven and passionate
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint

 

Duties:

Advertising
a. Contributing concept, layout, design input, copy/fact checking
b. Copy writing input
c. Managing media plan and roll-out of the media advertising strategy
d. Manage budget of advertising
e. Streamline all global advertising artwork

Brand awareness
a. The extent to which a brand is recognized by potential customers and is an essential part of brand development which helps the brand to stand out from the others
b. Identify brand awareness opportunities locally and abroad and manage the logistics involved such as booking locations, organizing necessary displays and banners, ensuring collateral and other needed assets are present to entice potential customers
c. Assist in pre-event promotions which varies by activity

Online
a. Online reputation monitoring, Search Engine Optimisation liaison, social media and website management
b. Maintenance of website and online reputation matters

Client Relationship Management
a. Marketing collateral and support to the sales team
b. Client hosting events and customer relationship management (CRM)
c. Writing of newsletters and various B2B collateral
d. Organize the events calendar for marketing and sales

Sponsorship Management
a. Provide sponsorship ideas for events, liaise with sponsors
b. Planning, implementation and follow-up for all events
c. Coordinate event logistics, publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution.

Corporate branding
a.Use corporate brand equity to create brand recognition
