Procurement Officer (Purchasing and Sourcing) with at least 3 years experience is required for a large healthcare company based in JHB East.

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • 3- 5 years experience in purchasing and buying is essential
  • Working experience in purchasing and sourcing
  • Knowledge of Oracle System and Excel
  • Knowledge of PFMA, APPFA & BBBEE requirements
  • Knowledge of the company Policies and procedures

Duties:

  • Ensure that Capital expenditure, request comply with procurement requirement this will include specifications, vote number and fully authorise signature
  • Source quotations for Capital expenditure to ensure that it meets with National Treasury and end users requirements (BBBEE, Specifications etc.)
  • Source quotations for consultants, training providers, accommodation to meet the end users needs within the comapany Nationally
  • Summarise quotations for Capital expenditure, consultants, accommodation, training providers and any other further request for quotes so it complies with price and BBBEE scoring
  • Receive requisitions electronically on procurement system and check details in order to determine the required suppliers and delivery requirements and auto create a system purchase order
  • To communicate orders to suppliers and expediting of orders
  • To follow up on orders by checking weekly report forms for overdue deliveries to ensure deliveries are expedited timeously
  • Assist with determining alternative suppliers to replace absolute products
  • Running the monthly reports on capital expenditure, overdue orders, buyers workload to present it to the Management
  • To ensure that orders are printed and filed for record and auditing purposes.
